While I was reading the article about the House of Horrors sentencing I was shocked to read that this seems to be a common thing in Edmonton. Also sentenced today were 2 fathers monsters who were convicted of sexually abusing their little girls. The first case involved a 22 year-old man who was convicted of raping his 2 year old daughter. A self-described Edmonton "monster" who brutally raped his two-year-old daughter twice hung his head as he was handed an eight-year prison term yesterday.
Not Much of a Sentence for Assaulting Your Child
I did a couple of posts {1} {2} {3} in May about a woman and her boyfriend who abused and tortured the woman's 4 year old daughter. The daughter is now in foster care (a real good one I hope) and she will be years in therapy trying to get over what happened to her. The abuse and torture was disgusting and last month, the woman was found guilty of assault for punching and slapping her young daughter and of causing the child to be in need of protective services. Today the woman found out her fate.
